This event brings together four biennial shows: the Mechanical Power Transmission and Motion Control exhibition; BIAS, covering automation, instrumentation, microelectronics and ICT for industry; BI.MAN, covering industrial maintenance; and Fluidtrans Compomac, covering fluid power, motion transmission, drives, control equipment and industrial design.

The 2008 Coil Winding / Insulation & Electrical Manufacturing Exhibition has already attracted more exhibitors than the 2007 show which was itself 26.5% bigger than the 2006 event, with more than 330 stands. The exhibition is dedicated to materials and equipment for manufacturing and repairing motors, generators, coils and transformers.

BARA Machine Safety Conference
One of a series of one-day conferences organised by the British Automation and Robot Association and aimed at specifiers and designers of machinery and safety-related electrical control systems, as well as managers and engineers responsible for safety. The conference will provide an overview of current and emerging machinery safety standards, applicable technologies, and case studies. The expert speakers will include representatives from the HSE.

Profibus and Profinet User Conference 2008
This two-day meeting combines parallel programmes of lectures and practical workshops on the technology and practice of using Profibus-based systems. One case study will describe a 600m-long overhead monorail system installed on a diesel engine production line at Cummins Engines.
