Connector suppliers form a trade group
Nine members of the Gambica trade association – including four new members – have formed an Inter-Connection Technologies Group within the organisation’s industrial automation section. The new group will cover terminals and connectors for power, signal and data in industrial applications. It scope will include DIN-rail terminals, assemblies, PCB connectors, and accessories. The founding companies are ABB, Legrand, Rockwell Automation and Schneider Electric, which are existing Gambica members, and ContaClip UK, Phoenix Contact, Wago and Wieland, which are new members. At the group’s inaugural meeting, Stuart Jaycocks from Weidmuller (above) was appointed chairman.
Gambica represents companies active in the fields of control, automation, instrumentation and laboratory technologies, in the UK. It has more than 200 members including multinationals as well as small and medium-sized companies.
