Awards will celebrate achievements in controls industry
An awards scheme has been launched to celebrate excellence in the UK motion control industry. The Motion & Controls Industry (MCI) Awards is being organised by Touchwave Media, with support from DFA Media, the publisher of Drive & Controls, Hydraulics & Pneumatics and Plant & Works Engineering.

In addition, three trade associations – BFPA, BCAS and Gambica – are backing the awards, which will be presented at a gala ceremony to be held in Solihull, West Midlands on 25 April, 2013.
The awards will be made in ten categories: technical innovation of the year; environmental/energy efficiency; project of the year; system integrator of the year; manufacturer of the year; distributor of the year; service/maintenance provider; training initiative of the year; young engineer of the year; and the lifetime achievement award.
The closing date for entries and nominations is 14 December, 2012.
